Obituary of Connie Joan Hyatt

Connie Joan Hyatt, 61, of the Governor’s Island community passed away unexpectedly at her home on July 12, 2020. She was preceded in death by Pharris E. (Doc) Cutshaw. Connie is survived by her mother Joan Hyatt and her father Frank Hyatt, Jr., sisters Kathy Dugan (John), Susan Call, and one brother Jeff (Debbie) Hyatt. Survivors also include nieces and nephews that Connie loved and treated them as if they were her own children. Josh Dugan (Amanda) and their children Temple, Ela, Nova, and Adelaide Dugan, Jordan Dugan, Heath Hyatt (Stacy) and Mason, Colby Hyatt and Carver, Shelby Hyatt, Brandon Hyatt and his children Madi and Eli, Sydney Call and her child Raelyn, and Hunter Call. Connie had many special friends including Sarah and Autumn Miller. Her aunt Sue had recently moved next door and they became great friends. Connie will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was known for her friendly hospitality, infectious laughter, and for having a tool to fix anything that was broken. Connie graduated from Western Carolina University and worked as a Social Worker at Skyland Care Center for many years. A memorial service and remembrance gathering will be held at a later date.
