Obituary of Herbert Robinson

Herbert “Hoover” Robinson, 86, of Sylva, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday June 24, 2020. A native of Jackson County he was the son of the late George and Maude Dills Robinson. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his first wife of 46 years, Hazel Lanning Robinson and his second wife, Emma Joe Nicholson, and all of his siblings.
Hoover was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by three children, Kenny Robinson and wife Paula of Sylva, Pat Brown and husband Bo of Dillsboro and Lee Robinson and wife Gloria of Clarksville, TN; seven grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors David Burch and Jack Hinson will officiate with burial at Robinson Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Saturday.
At other times the family will gather at Hoover’s Home.
