Obituary of Casey Dean Wood

Casey Dean Wood, age forty four of Whittier, NC went to be with his dad on June 14, 2020. He is preceded in death by his loving Father, Larry Henry Wood. Casey is survived by his longtime partner Jill Cagle, Grandmother Colene Ogle, Mother and Stepfather Sharon and Alan Wyatt, brothers Chris and Daryl (Regina) and sister Amanda, Uncles Rick (Pam) Wood, Harold Wood and Harry Wood and Larry Ogle (Linda), Mike Ogle (Beth), and Aunts Pat (Earl) Fortner and Linda (Jim) Mackey along with his favorite Aunt Mary (Mitchell) Jenkins. He also has many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved and cherished, along with special Friend Kathleen Brooks. Casey was a graduate of Swain County Schools, class of 1994. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and loved fishing. He loved his work in the nursing home taking care of the elderly and they loved him just as much. He will be missed and loved by many. The family is gathering at the home of Mary and Mitchell Jenkins. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home on Thursday, June 18, 2020 at 12:00PM with Reverend Marty Pressley officiating. Burial will follow at the Whittier Community Cemetery. The family will begin gathering at the funeral home around 11:00AM, one hour prior to the service.
