Obituary of Delia Ann Watkins

Delia Ann Woodard Watkins, 94, of the Lands Creek community, went to be with Jesus on Good Friday, April 10, 2020. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late William and Miley Sutton Woodard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Raymond Watkins, a daughter Carolyn Falk, and a son, Douglas Watkins. She was a member of Bryson City Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Moon of Bryson City; two sisters and one brother in law, Inez Bryant and Irene and Dean Mansur of Ocean Park, WA; seven grandchildren, Stephani Woodard, Diane Kennedy, Dawn Letterman, Gunnar Falk, Brent Parker, Rennie Falk, and Brandi Helma; six great-grandchildren, Mirinda Boucher, Anthony Iacobucci, Cassidy Otto, Josie Parker, Cody Letterman, and Raymond Parker, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private graveside service in Swain County Memorial Park. A memorial service will be planned at Bryson City Presbyterian Church at a later date.
