Obituary of ROBERT LOUIS PATTILO

Robert Louis Pattillo, 92, of Arlington Ave., passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 in a Jackson County Hospital. A native of Macon County, he had lived in Swain County since 1955. He was the son of the late Robert E and Ida Harrington Pattillo. He was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during WWII. He retired with 38 years of service with the N.C.D.O.T. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Virginia Justice Pattillo, three children, Lydia Pattillo McGrath of Franklin, Barbara Pattillo Gagliardo of Franklin, and Robert Samuel Pattillo of Bryson City, four grandchildren; Sarah Gagliardo, Rob Pattillo, Lee Pattillo, and Brette Pattillo. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Bryson City First Baptist Church of which he was a member. Rev. John Tagliarini will officiate with burial in Holly Springs Cemetery in Franklin. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM Monday at the Church. In Lieu of Flowers Memorials may be made to the Bryson City First Baptist Church Building Fund.
