Obituary of Jack Dempsey Fuller

Jack Dempsey Fuller Jr., 65, of Bryson City passed away on January 11, 2020. He was born on May 21, 1954, in Swain County to the late Jack and Ruby Fuller. Mr. Fuller spent his career in the United States Army in the Special Forces as a Ranger. He was a member of Rock Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving family man and was a good father and grandfather. He loved to play guitar and draw in his spare time. He also enjoyed hunting and collecting rocks. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara Agnes Dills; a son Tommy Dempsey Fuller; five grandchildren, Diren Dills, Devin Dills, Baron Von Dills, Thomas Fuller, and Dawson Fuller; three sisters, June Nations, Nellie Denton, and Ruby Ann Fuller; one brother, Cleve Fuller and many special nieces, nephews and family members. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by James Fuller. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 11:00am in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Reverend Sam McMahan will officiate. Burial will follow in Watkins Cemetery. Thomas Fuller, Diren Dills, Devin Dills, Baron Dills, Stanley Smith, and Marvin Ogle will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends for 10:00 am until 11:00am, one hour prior to the service.
