Brenda Cochran Shuler passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford “Sonny” and Lois Cochran. She was also preceded in death by her husband Charles “Cubby” Shuler; two brothers, Darrel Wayne and Steve Cochran. Brenda is survived by three children, Wesley Cochran of Franklin, William Shuler and wife Latresa of Bryson City, Sarah Miller and husband Robbie of Bryson City; six grandchildren, Preston, Brandon, Christian, Lincoln Cochran, Autumn Miller, and Charles “Charlie” Shuler. She also leaves behind one sister, five brothers, many nieces and nephews, and special family member, Hank Shuler. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to many. She loved to spend time with family and friends. The last few years, she really enjoyed working and being around the people at the Senior Center of Bryson City. She was a member of Wolf Valley Baptist Church in Heiskell, TN and attended Ela Baptist Church in Bryson City. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Swain Memorial Park. Revs. Tom Harris, Mike Cogdill and Earl Holden will officiate. Pallbearers will be James Nicely, Preston, Brandon, Allen, Jonathan, Jeremy and Jamie Cochran, and Dustin Rich. Honorary Pallbearers will be Christian, Lincoln and Charles “Charlie. Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
