Obituary of Norma Lee McGaha
Norma Lee Bowers McGaha, 84, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord Friday, November 22, 2019. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late George and Eva Cochran Bowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McGaha; her son, Wayne McGaha; sister, Aileen Cochran; and brothers, Buford, Douglas and Roby Bowers.
She was a member of Mt. Vernon Freewill Baptist Church.
Norma is survived by three sons, Charles McGaha and wife Rachel of Bryson City, Ronnie McGaha and wife Sue of Franklin, Gary McGaha and wife Brenda of Anderson, SC.; daughter-and-law, Jackie McGaha of Bryson City; eight grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and sisters, Annette Loftis and husband Wayne (Cotton), Carolyn Crain, and Claudette Huffman and husband Nuncie.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Frady will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
