Obituary of Bobby Lee Morris, Sr.
Bobby L. Morris Sr. of Candler, formerly of Bryson City passed away Friday, October 25, 2019.
He was a US Army Veteran having served in World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Jean Morris who passed away October 3, 1999 and his son, Billy V. Morris who passed away October 22, 1971 in Vietnam.
Bobby is survived by his son, Bobby Morris Jr. and wife Sheila of Candler, NC; daughter, Angie McClain and husband Patrick of Mooresville, NC; daughter-in-law, Gladys Waldroup; grandsons, Billy V. Waldroup, Amy Rice, Tod Morris, Stephen McClain, Ben McClain, Abe McClain, Michael McClain and Aby McClain; and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Charles Ray Ball and Joe Yelton will officiate. Burial will be at Swain Memorial Park with military graveside rites conducted by the NC National Guard.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Monday at the funeral home.
