Obituary of Patsy Crisp

Patsy Crisp Thomas, 81, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2019. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Dee and Emma Sherrill of Bryson City. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Windell Aaron Crisp, her son Windell Joe Crisp, great-grandson Bryce Aaron Crisp and her siblings Clyde Sherrill, Homer Sherrill, Jim Sherrill, Hazel Grant, Evelyn Pittman, Lewis Sherrill and Annie Sherrill.

She is survived by her husband Lyle Brent Thomas; her son Lewis Crisp and wife Connie; daughter-in-law Connie Crisp; Grandchildren Windell Trent Crisp (Liana), Heather Nations (David) all of Bryson City, Joshua Crisp (Meredith) of Sylva, and Isaac Crisp (Brittany) of Candler; 9 great-grandchildren who were the light of her life Lane Crisp, Ashlyn Nations, Emilee Nations, Kandyce Crisp, Brady Crisp, Jude Crisp, Elias Crisp, Asa Crisp and Liam Crisp and many nieces and nephews.

Patsy loved the Lord and was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church. She was known for her humor and wittiness. Her number one priority was to spoil her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of her loved ones.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Crisp Funeral Home. Funeral Services to follow at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Shane Roughton will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Trent Crisp, Joshua Crisp, Isaac Crisp, Lane Crisp, Brady Crisp, Larry Pittman, Cory Pittman, and Justin Cline.

The family will be receiving friends at 1003 Gibson Rd. Bryson City, NC 28713 prior to the service date.
