Obituary of BOBBY JAMES THOMASON

Bobby James (BJ) Thomason, passed away Saturday October 10, 2009 at his home in Canton, North Carolina. He was born to James Irvin and Lola Nations Thomason, in Cruso, North Carolina, March 16, 1932, and resided mostly in Whittier and most recently in Athens, Georgia. He was a Veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Curtis Thomason. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Norma Lou Jones Thomason 4 Daughters- Tina Thomason LaBorde of Alexandria, Louisiana and her husband Pat Tammie Thomason Ingle and her husband Robert of Canton, NC Terri Beth Thomason Holifield, who has been missing from Atlanta, Georgia since May 2006 Tiffany L. Thomason and Heather from Athens, Georgia 1 Son- Travis James Thomason and his wife Joni of Athens, Georgia 5 Grandchildren- Matt, Jay, Ali, Lexi, and Ava 5 Great Grandsons- Tyler, Phoenix, Gryphon, Tristen and Corvin 1 Brother- Ronnie Thomasson of Bryson City 3 Sisters- Juanita Webb of Bryson City Faye Lawhon of Whittier Barbara Bowman of Cherokee Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home with the Rev. Carlton Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Lauada Cemetery with Military Graveside Services provided by the VFW Post #9281. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9 at the Funeral Home Pallbearers will be Tiffany Thomason, Tony Thomason, Kevin and Shane Bowman, Jeff Armitage and Robert Ingle Honorary pallbearers will be Matthew and Jeremy LaBorde and Timothy Shuler
