Obituary of CARRIE MAE WIGGINS

Carrie Mae Jenkins Wiggins, 101, of the Lands Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Monday, July 13, 2009 in a Swain County health care facility. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late John and Nancy Bumgarner Jenkins and wife of the late Jim Wiggins. She was preceded in death by her children, Buster Wiggins, Robert Wiggins, Clyde Wiggins; four brothers; one sister; and one grandchild.
She is survived by four daughters, Jessie Hampton, Inez Tallent, Frances Cook and partner Jack Hunt, June Lowe and husband H.L. all of Bryson City; 14 grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren; one sister, Estie Styles of Andrews; and one brother, Robert Jenkins of Bryson City.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Marty Pressley will officiate with burial in the Deep Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Grandsons will be pallbearers.
