Obituary of Mary Holder

Mary Holder, 77, went to be with the Lord on September 17, 2019.  Born in Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Maude Allen.  Marry worked at Nantahala Village in Bryson City before retiring.  She attended Maple Springs Baptist Church.  Her family describes her as an amazingly kind woman who was always there for her family and friends.  Her concern was for those around her and was very giving. 

 Mrs. Holder is survived by her daughter Sharon Johnson; three sons, Baron Holloway (Mary), Bobby Holloway (Kathi), and Robby Holloway (Nancy); eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy B. Holder. 

A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, September 20, 2019 at Maple Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Neal Ammons officiating.  Burial will follow in the Allen Family Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Baron Holloway, Bobby Holloway, Robby Holloway, Dillon Holloway, Daren Holloway, and Daniel Holloway.  Chuck Lockner will serve as an honorary pallbearer.  The family will receive friends from 11:00am until 12:00pm prior to the service.
