Obituary of Joe Crisp
Windell (Joe) Crisp, 61, of the Alarka Community went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 12, 2019. A native of Swain County he was the son of Patsy Sherrill Crisp of Bryson City, and the late Windell Aaron Crisp, and step-son of Brent Thomas of Bryson City. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a grandson Bryce Crisp.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Connie Crisp; Children, Windell Trent Crisp and wife Liana of Bryson City, Heather Nations and husband David of Bryson City, and Lane Crisp (Bree) of Bryson City; four grandchildren, Ashlyn Nations, Emilee Nations, Kandyce Crisp, and Brady Crisp; Special Grandchild, Harper Southards; one brother, Lewis Crisp and wife Connie of Bryson City; nephews, Josh Crisp of Sylva, and Isaac Crisp of Candler, and four great-nephews, Jude, Elias, Asa, and Liam Crisp.
A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Monday at True Gospel Baptist Church on Sam Davis Rd. Bryson City, NC. Revs. Onley Williams, Ernie Cable, and Max Cochran will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Sunday at the Church.
