Obituary of Jennifer Rita Sellers

Jennifer Rita Turek Sellers, 46, passed away on September 8, 2019.  She was born on April 28, 1973 in Elkhart, Indiana to Thomas and Carol Turek.  Jennifer graduated Martin County High School in Stuart, Florida in 1991.  During high school she was an All-State level clarinetist and served as Drum Major for the Marching Tiger Band at Martin County High School.  She was also a clarinetist in the Louisiana State Marching Band.  In 1997, Jennifer graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Equine Science from the University of Findlay in Ohio. 

After graduation she became a successful Horse trainer while managing her horse barn and training business in both North Carolina and Maryland.  She was an avid animal lover to say the least and enjoyed devoting her time two her dogs Sherwood and Annie, her horses Bo and Chatan, and her cats Sophie and Squiggles.

In addition to her parents she is survived by a son, Samuel Thomas Sellers; a sister, Dawn Turek Johnston (Robert George Johnston, Jr.); a niece Emily Nicole Johnston and a nephew, Andrew Robert Johnston.

A Celebration of Jennifer’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 11:00am at the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home.
