Oscar Eugene Cook (Gene), 82, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday September 4, 2019. A native of Swain County he was the son of the late Norman and Julia Ball Cook. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his infant son, Billy Eugene Cook; one brother, Jerry Lee Cook, and three sisters, Annie Mae Burns, Sue Crisp, and Helen Mathews.
He is survived by one sister, Merlin Carr; three brothers, Jiles Cook and wife Cathy, W.C. Cook and wife Lynn, and Ray Cook, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM Until 8:00 PM Friday at Crisp Funeral Home.
