Obituary of Christine Mirabella

Christine Dorothy Mirabella, 88, went to be with our Lord on August 13, 2012. Born on January 31, 1924 in Germany, she came to the United States in 1954 and became a U.S. Citizen. In 1960 Christine married Charles C. Mirabella of the Mirabella Seafood Family. Christine became stepmother to Charles' 4 children, and had two children of her own. She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Charles C. Mirabella, her sisters Katy Kropp, Gerda Aibel and Brother Karl Munzer, and her two grandchildren, Billy Lankford and Kate Mirabella. She is survived by her two children daughter Deborah Straughn and husband Steve of Bryson City, NC, son Mike Mirabella and wife Kim of Tampa, FL and her Grandchildren; Charlie and Grace Osborne, Alicia Hoagland, Richard Mirabella, Amanda and Michael Mirabella; 4 stepchildren: Marie Donnell, Charlotte Gates, Ernie and Frank Mirabella, 15 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren, Sister Karen Froio and husband Rick, and many nieces and nephews. Christine was a devout Catholic, loving and devoted wife, mother and homemaker. We would like to thank all the many caregivers at The Mountain View Manor (Bryson City, NC) for taking such good care of our mother. We will be forever grateful.
