Obituary of Jimmy B Holder

Jimmy Holder, 69, went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2019.  Born in Swain County, he was the son of the late William and Mary Holder.  Jimmy worked at ConMet in Bryson City as well as working for himself as a heavy equipment operator.  He attended Maple Springs Baptist Church.  His family describes him as an amazingly kind man who was always there for his family and friends.  His concern was for those around him and was very giving.  He enjoyed being a handy man and could fix almost anything.  Jimmy is survived by his wife Mary.  In addition, he is survived by his daughter Sharon Johnson; three sons, Baron Holloway (Mary), Bobby Holloway (Kathi), and Robby Holloway (Nancy); eleven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 26, 2019 at Maple Springs Baptist Church with the Reverend Neal Ammons officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Baron Holloway, Bobby Holloway, Robby Holloway, Chuck Lockner, and Dillon Holloway.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10:00am until 11:00am prior to the service.
