FRANCIS M. CRAWFORD, 90, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday November 17, 2009 at Mountain View Manor. A native of Mobile, Alabama, he was the son of the late Paul and Bessie Turk Crawford. He was a member of Sawmill Hill Baptist Church and a member of the Howard Masonic Lodge in Mobile. He was a US Navy Veteran having served in WWII. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marion Wise Crawford and five Sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Laverne Mitchell Crawford, his daughter Sue Crawford Moran(Lowell) and his son Marshall(Rita), 5 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM Friday in the Chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Lambert will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 Friday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Sawmill Hill Baptist Church.
