Obituary of Patricia Bailey

Patricia Wood Bailey, 65, of the Deep Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, August 8, 2012 in Four Seasons Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC. A native of Whittier, she was the daughter of Earl Wood of Whittier and the late Pearl Denton Wood. She also was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Coggins and one brother, Carl Wood. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Robert (Joe) Bailey; one son, Jeremy Daniel Bailey of Bryson City; two brothers, Sam Wood of Monroe, NC, Michael Wood of Mint Hill, NC; four sisters, Debra Wallick of Brevard, Melody Pitts of Hickory, Janice Barker of Bryson City, Maxine Wood of Whittier; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Bryson City Church of God of which she was a member. Revs. Marty Pressley and Linda Wike will officiate with burial in Union Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Crisp Funeral Home where the body will remain until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
