I smile every time I think about Susie. The "cousins" parties she hosted at Christmas were the BEST. She was a beautiful person, full of personality. I can still hear her sweet laugh. The family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Susie hired me into the tribal government 17 years ago. She was a great leader and boss. For some time, my mother rented a homefrom Susie and her husband. They we're always kind and fair to mom and my family. I pray that she is safely in the arms of the Lord and that her family is comforted in the knowledge. Rest in peace Susie.

I remember when I was about 9 years old, Susie was our majorette teacher!!! We walked in quite a few parades twirling those batons!!! I can remember it like it was yesterday. I don’t think anyone else has ever had another majorette group for kids here in Cherokee!!!

We will never drive by the Cherokee Island Park without thinking of Susie. Her determination and commitment to this project has and will continue to benefit many people for many years to come. We considered her as a friend. Susie was smart, friendly to everyone and had a strong support for her community, family and friends. She will be missed by many. Prayers to her family.

My prayers to all of Susie's family. I'm thinking of you all, and I pray you find some peace in the many happy memories I'm sure you have of Susie. My mother, Mary Booth, got to know Susie when she was working on the Rose Garden at the Island Park, and my Mom always loved her. I know she holds a special place in her heart for Susie. To my dear friends Jody & Gene, please know Bob and I love you guys and we are here if you need anything at all. You're all in my thoughts and prayers.
