Obituary of William Odell Herron

William Odell Herron, 68, of the Buckners Branch Community passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Swain County Hospital. A native of Swain County and longtime resident of Gastonia, he had lived in Bryson City for the past 13 years. He was an extremely devoted father and son. He was preceded in death by four brothers. He is survived by one son, Nickie Herron and wife Rebecca of Waco, TX; three grandchildren, Taylor, Hannah, and Daniel Herron; four sisters, Tennia Houser of Thomasville, NC, Dallie Feeney of Franklin, Maxine Bradshaw of Drexel, NC, Betty Lou Shepherd of Bryson City; and two brothers, Lee Herron of Denver, NC, and Dave Herron of Denver, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
