Obituary of Wilma Bradshaw Sawyer

Gastonia Dateline Wilma Bradshaw Sawyer, 78, formerly of the Panther Creek Community went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at her residence in Gastonia, NC. A native of Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Martha Marcus Bradshaw. She was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church and worked in the Textile Industry. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Chester Bradshaw; and two sisters, Frances Andrews and Eldred Paige. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Pleze Sawyer; one son, Ronald Sawyer and wife Cindy of Gastonia; four grandchildren, Blake Sawyer, Lisa Morgan, Ross Bradley, Katie Reed; six great grandchildren, Chelsey, Aden, Luke, David, Levi, Noah; one sister, Glenda Whitaker and husband Ray of Gastonia; one sister-in-law, Betty DeHart of Morganton. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Saturday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City, NC. Rev. Gary Putnam and Allen DeHart will officiate with burial in Panther Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon Saturday at the funeral home.
