Obituary of Shirley Fisher Fortner

Shirley Fisher Fortner, 59, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in a Haywood County Hospice Center. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Ola Crisp Fisher. She is also preceded in death by two brothers, Archie and Jackie Fisher; and one sister, Sadie Jackson. She is survived by one daughter, Angela Jacobs of Waynesville; one son, Ronald Fisher of Bryson City; two sisters, Judy Franks of Bryson City, Marylee Roy of Concord, NC; two brothers, Perry Fisher of Bryson City, Calvin Fisher of Hickory; four grandchildren; three great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Ray Ball will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
