Obituary of Inas B Crisp

Inas B. Crisp, 89, of the Deep Creek community went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Bushnell, NC and was a resident of Bryson City and formerly of Asheville. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Mamie Shook Crisp. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Odas and Olin Crisp. She was a member of Franklin Grove Baptist Church. She was employed by High Hampton Inn and Country Club of Cashiers, NC for several years and served in different capacities while there. Inas loved working with flowers and made beautiful arrangements as part of her work. She made a vegetable garden every year that many people enjoyed. She was also an avid reader, especially of gardening books. She had a giving spirit and enjoyed helping everyone she knew. She also loved and collected art. She is survived by three sisters, Gladys Woody of Bryson City, Agnes Crisp of Bryson City, Glenith Brooks and husband Bill of Smyrna, GA; one niece, Karen Torda and husband Michael; four nephews, Scott Woody, Barry Brooks, Brian Brooks and wife Stephanie, Greg Crisp and wife Sarah; four great nieces, Tiffany Crisp and fiancée Charles Walker, Hayley and Hannah Brooks, Jamie Woody; one great nephew, Harrison Brooks. Also surviving are family members, Virginia and Martin Debord. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Mark Sale will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
