Obituary of Ruby Kirkland
Please share a memory of Ruby to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
On Sunday, November 11, 2018, God heard our prayers and gave our mother, Ruby Brown Kirkland, her ultimate healing.
She was a lifelong member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she actively served. She was active in the community development club, 4H club and was devoted to family and friends. Her door was always open and she always had a spot at her table.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Cleophus Kirkland who died May 17, 2012 and her parents, Glenn and Pearl Brown; and her grandson, Scott Lee Kirkland.
She is survived by Sandra Materangelo and husband Leo of Anderson, SC, Barbara Bridges and husband Jim of Whittier; six grandchildren, Jason Howell, Amanda Collins, Kiesha Bridges, Nathan Bridges, John Smith, Janessa Smith; and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Revs. Eddie Stillwell and Tim Barker will officiate with burial in the Holly Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday at the church.
