I was so blessed to call this man my dad. Not one single negative memory. So many wonderful, fun, funny and precious memories. He was the best Papaw to his grandchildren. My heart hurts but I am so thankful to God that I know my daddy is in Heaven with Jesus❤️ I know that I will miss him every moment and that Heaven looks even sweeter than before. Thank you, Father God, for giving me the perfect earthly dad. I will see you again, Daddy

I went to Swain Co. High School with Bobby. We were best of friends. I remember in typing class, we were partnered together. He was so funny, and always kept me laughing. I did not get to see him too often after graduation, but we always had long conversations whenever we would see each other. I'd go by the fruit-stand often, when he worked there. He wanted to be a dental assistant at one point. He laughed & said he was not sure if he could make that a career. I wanted to be a teacher, and I taught in Swain County until retirement. Anytime Bobby saw my husband, Tommy, the first thing he would do is ask about me. He was one of the kindest humans I have ever known. My husband and & watched his life video together. I cried so much. Tommy knows I love Bobby, and it was always just a brother/sister type love that is unusual to find. I regret we lost touch for the last at least 10 years. I regret not visiting nor calling Bobby. Wish I had see his obituary earlier, I would have been to his service. He certainly was proud of his family, and loved you all so much. Rhonda Blanton Brooks.❤️

Uncle Bobby was as much my friend as my uncle. I enjoyed the time I was able to spend with him, and I also greatly enjoyed our conversations. He will be very much missed.
