Obituary of Jessie Mae Cloer

Jessie Dyer Cloer, 78, of the Alarka Community, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday October 30, 2018. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late John and Ruby Hunnicutt Dyer, and wife of the late Joseph Thurman (Moe) Cloer. In addition to her husband and parents she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Jessie is survived by one daughter, Janet Smith and husband Junior of Andrews; one son Johnny Cloer and wife Tammy of Waynesville; five grandchildren, Misty Skidmore (Dan), Justin Smith (Whitley), Codi Smith, Leah Fowler (David), and Hannah Burnette; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 6 brothers and sisters, and many friends and Church family that she loved dearly.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church. Rev. Tony Cochran will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Harmony Baptist Church. Jessie will also lie in state Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church until the hour of service.
Pallbearers will be, Johnny Cloer, Junior Smith, Justin Smith, Dan Skidmore, Jonathan Hoke, and Jon Becker.
