I am so sorry for your loss. I just now saw this on the computer looking up something else. Her late husband and my late husband were first cousins. Any time we came to the mountains we tried to visit them. We always enjoyed their company so much. They were good friends and really fine people. I learned a lot about the history of the area from Odell. Jean was actually related to Johnny's Holden family thru Priscilla Tutterow (?). Now and then Jean and I would talk on the phone. I missed them both after my husband passed 15 years ago and I did not get to go back much. Jean loved her God and her family and was faithful to her church. I know she will be greatly missed by her family and the community. You all will be in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear the passing of a true Saint while on earth. There are no words that can describe what a fine Christian woman she was, and an amazing example she was, of what we all should strive to be. If there is anyone that I have no question today is in Heaven, it is Jean Grant. I could go on and on, but anyone reading this tribute knows what a fine individual she was, a true Christian, wife, mother, and friend, in that order. Condolences to the family.
