Obituary of Lois Mae Robinson

Lois Lovingood Robinson, 96, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, October 22, 2018. Lois was born on May 10, 1922 in Swain County to the late Joseph Cube and Bessie Smiley Lovingood. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband B.K. Robinson; a son Joseph Aaron Robinson, and a Baby Boy; one brother, Tom Lovingood; two sisters, Maude Reeves, and Edna Jenkins. Lois became a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church in 1953. She was a very loving and dedicated mother and friend to everyone she met. Lois is survived by four children, Gail Freshour, Ann Carson, Gary Robinson and wife Rosalyn, and Rita Walls and husband Garland all of Bryson City; eight grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren; One sister, Pauline Cope of Asheville, NC. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Deep Creek Baptist Church. Revs. Earl Holden, Lloyd Brown, and Mike Cogdill will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday at the Church. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Fruitland Bible College at 1455 Gilliam Rd. Hendersonville, NC 28792. The family would like to give a special thank you to Marie Camby, Lois' loving caregiver, Mountain View Manor, and Swain County Hospital. They would also like to thank all of her friends and family for all of the love and support they have shown. Pallbearers will be Lois' grandsons, Chad, Brian, Brad, Joey, Chase, Drew, Jared, and Aaron.
