Obituary of Max Gardner Breedlove

Max Gardner Breedlove, 88, of Bryson City passed away Friday, September 28, 2018. A native of Swain County, he was the son of the late Robert and Lela Bradley Breedlove. He was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church.
A US Army Veteran having served in Korea, he was a member of the Franklin VFW Post 7339.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Thad Breedlove of Bryson City, Doris Tallent of Maryville, TN, and Chloe Crisp of Bryson City.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Rita Breedlove; three sons, Mike (Sue), Joe (Teresa) and Phil (Lynn) Breedlove; grandchildren, Avery Breedlove and Nick Pagano; brother, Gilmer Breedlove of Bryson City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Cochran will officiate with burial in the Breedlove Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
