David Joe Shuler, Jr, "DJ", 23 of Whittier, went home to be with the Lord on August 22, 2018. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arnold R. and Hazel D Anthony, paternal grandfather, Harold W. Shuler and great grandparents, Don and Prince McGaha. He was a former dedicated employee of Cherokee Tire and Auto. He is survived by his mother and father, Karen Anthony and David Shuler Sr of Bryson City, daughter Saphira Lynn Shuler, of Sylva, one son Kyler Woodring of Sylva; one brother, Ricky Sanford of Waynesville, two sisters, Jennifer Shuler of Whittier, Katie Shuler of Sylva, Paternal grandmother, Bea Shuler of Marietta, GA. Three Aunts, Ethel Parton, Elaine Woodard, and Ann Marie Muse all of Bryson City, NC and one uncle Robert "RP" Anthony of Whittier. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jeff Helpman will officiate with burial at Lauada Cemetery. The family will receive friends form 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
