William D. Hyde

Age 89, formerly of Canton, passed away Tuesday June 19, 2018 in Centreville Village, Carrollton, OH. He was born May 25, 1929 in Bryson City, NC to the late Patrick and Hessie (Ball) Hyde. William was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. He retired from The Timken Company in 1978 after 30 years of service and was formerly employed by North Canton Drain for 20 years. William was a life member of the Game Reserve Association where he had served as vice-president and was a volunteer with the YMCA at Camp Tippecanoe. He is preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. William is survived by his wife, Barbara A. (Johnston) to whom he was married 65 years; one son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Debbie Hyde; one daughter and son-in-law, Julie Ann and William Richards; six grandchildren, Jeff (Cindy), Christopher (Ashley) and Kelsie Hyde, Chase, Clay and Seth Richards; two great-grandchildren, Adelynn Grace and Lilliana Mae Hyde; one brother, John (Shirley) Hyde. Funeral services will Friday June 22, 2018 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
