I met Patsy as she was attending to my lontime and best Air Force friend from the 60's Bob Hill. A few years after his passing I was able to meet here and we visited on a few occasions, but mostly we remained in contact by phone over the years because I live in Alaska.
I did know her as a person who was always attending to other peoples needs. She truly lived her life as a servant to others. I'm sure she will be missed by all who knew her.

My condolences to the family. My family knew Patsy from NCHP as she worked for my grandfather Leon McDonald up until he retired from the force. It was honor to meet her in May when I was home for mothers service.

I met Patsy the first day we went to Raleigh to report for NCSHP secretarial training 1-1-68 and we became friends that very day.Throughout our working years we kept in touch and also attended meetings and schools together. We even decided to retire the same day! She was a beautiful person of great faith and kindness to all. May all who knew her find comfort in knowing what a wonderful person she really was and how much she cared about others.

I am so sorry to hear of Patsy's passing. We grew up together and kept in touch thru the years. She and her parents were special friends of my family. May her loved ones know she is with her love of her life and with her parents rejoicing in God's love.

I got to know Patsy through our work with the Highway Patrol. She was always the wonderful Christian friend and exhibited this during our time in school and meetings. She will truly be missed.

Oh the fond memories I have of Miss Patsy! My time with Patsy goes back to my childhood when she was my Sunday School teacher, and often times my Bible School teacher, as well. I often times chose to sit with her and her mother, Ruth during the morning service at church. I like to think I was her favorite student, but she had no favorites, she loved us all, but I still like to think I was her favorite anyway. That was how she treated me, and she always had a piece of chewing gum ready to secretly hand over to me during the preaching time at Cold Springs Baptist Church. For a gift when my family moved into a new home that had been a long time building she gave my sister and I these lovely wall hangings of two separate children sitting in a chair in their most childlike innocent way. Those days of innocence are long gone, but the innocent memories of her have never left me. When I went away to college Patsy sent me cards to encourage me, especially when I was so homesick. As a celebration after my freshman year in college I made my very first trip to the beach, with Pasty. She had a friend whose family had a beach house in Wilmington, NC. Now that was special!
Patsy has had that beautiful white hair since her late twenties to early thirties. I always thought she did the "in the thing" back then and frosted it, but no, it was naturally that beautiful, and so was her kindness, generosity, and love to her family and friends.
I am thankful that she and I had a special lunch together shortly after her mother passed away. That was the last time I saw or even spoke to Patsy, but I am grateful for that afternoon we spent catching up and talking about the good ole days.
Now, she is home with her Heavenly Father and reunited with Bill, Ruth, and Bob, and all those other family members and friends who have gone before her. Now, she is truly happy again and not alone. Her memory will be left behind to cherish until the day we meet again.
Respectfully and with great sincerity,
Connie Allen
