Billie Jean Smith, 65, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday June 10, 2018. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Kirkland Herron.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Ronnie Brian Crawford Jr. and her sister, Evelyn Stroud.
She is survived by her four children, Tracey Jones, Stacey Buchanan, Melvin Jones, and Beckey Crawford; grandchildren, Clinton Mills, Emily Jones, Abby Jones, Coleman Jones, Owen Jones, Emma Jones, Sam Buchanan, Kain Rucker; siblings, Wayne, Kenny, Barbara, Robert, Wanda, Connie, Larry, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Wilmot Baptist Church. Rev. Johnny Ray Davis will officiate with burial in the Bumgarner Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Church.
Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
