Obituary of Peter Francis Jacobs

Peter Francis Jacobs, 70, of Whittier, passed away peacefully, Saturday June 9, 2018, surrounded by family, after a long battle with cancer. A native of Connecticut, and longtime resident of Whittier, NC, he was the son of the late Clinton Levern and Fayetta Frances Sharron Jacobs. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister, Cathy and his half-brother, Michael. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Teresa Tennyson Jacobs; sisters, Nora, Maggie, and Mary, and by a variety of family and friends. A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sylva. Times will be announced later. A drop-in family and friend visitation will be held Friday, June 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the home. He fought the disease with Courage, dignity, and grace.
