So sorry to hear of your loss. May the scriptures found at Act 24:15 and John 5:28,29 bring hope and comfort in the assured promise of the resurrection.

To the Long family, I am sorry for your loss. News of Jamie's passing came late and as a
shock. I had the opportunity to know and work with Jamie dealing with environmental issues in Indian Country as part of the National Tribal Caucus. Jamie was a genuine, descent man. I enjoyed his friendliness and easy going personality, My thoughts and prayers for the family. Sincerely, Alex Cabillo

It is with my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Jamie. I knew him through my work at the Miccosukee Tribe in Florida and later at United South and Eastern Tribes. I’ll always remember Jamie with that smile on his face, all the jokes he told, and all of the goodness in his heart. He used to come and mow my yard at my cabin on Piney Mountain Road when he knew I was coming to Cherokee. I will miss him. He was a good friend who would give you the shirt off his back. Again, you have my condolences.

My deepest sympathies extend to Jamie's family and friends. I remember with great appreciation and fondness Jamie's contributions to EPA's environmental programs through his representation on the National Tribal Operations Committee and professional relations with EPA representatives. We all will miss his friendly smile and quick sense of humor.

Rest easy my friend.
I was shocked by the news. Always such a great person and supportive to all he knew. Such a loss for our community.
