Obituary of Wayne Allan Garland

Wayne Garland, 69, of Bryson City formerly of Waynesville, NC passed away on Monday April 23, 2018 at Mountain View Manor after an extended battle with Alzheimer's Disease. A native of Waynesville and longtime resident of Bryson City, he was the son of the late Marshall Cabe and Juanita Jaynes Garland. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Garland. Wayne was a retired U.S. Airforce Veteran having served in the Vietnam Era. He retired from Verizon Phone Company and owned Wayne's Wrecker Service. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sandra Garland; two sons, Chris and Jinsuk of South Korea, and Brian and Sarah of Asheville; two brothers, Terry and Diane, and Howell; nephews, Brandon and Regina, and Ashley. He was a loving brother, father, and husband. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home.
