Obituary of Alice L Queen

Alice L. Queen, 92, of Bryson City went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 22nd, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband James, parents Tim and Ola Belle McMahan, brother Dallas and sisters Fronnie and Clara Mae.
Surviving children are Barbara (Frank) Bowles of Murphy, Dorothy (George) Edwards of Bryson City, Gladys Quigley of Franklin and Shirley (Jerry) Payne of Gastonia; two sisters Pauline Hyde and Pearl Bailey; two brothers Carlos and Walter McMahan; very special friend Carmen Cline; eight grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. She was a devoted mother and wife whose family always came first. She will be sorely missed by all.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Rev. Neal Payne will officiate with burial at Swain Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm Monday at the funeral home.
