Obituary of Betty Lou Frady

Betty Childers Frady, 74, of Whittier went home to be with her Heavenly Father on March 7, 2018. A native of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late John B. and Jeanette Cabe Childers and wife of the late Asbury Frady.
She was a charter member of Mt. Zion Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Sylva, NC. She was a very devoted Christian, mother, grandmother and wife.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny and Robert Childers.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Claudia King (John), Darick Frady (Kristie), Eddie Frady (Rebecca); eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Ann Taylor, Joyce Dupree (Warren), Marie Swanger, Ray Childers (Sandra), Terrie Childers-Hinson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday at Mt. Zion Independent Missionary Baptist Church in Sylva. Revs. Darick Frady, Mike Cogdill and Tommy Ashe will officiate with burial in the Barkers Creek Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at the church.
