I always enjoyed talking to Virginia because she was someone who had a lot of common sense and an accurate concept of our local and federal governments. She was a believer and I enjoyed discussing our theology. Both Virginia and Martin have always been friends to the English Family for as long as I can remember. Their friendship made them like family. May her passing be a time to draw you all closer to God.

Martin, Greg and Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I have been able to keep up to date with Martin lately on Miss Virginia and I was very heart broken to hear of her recent decline in health. Your families are in our prayers and I think so much of all of you. If anything is needed please let me know. Love you all.

Martin, Karen, and Gregg, What a remarkable, special woman Virginia was! She left behind examples for us to emulate: acts of kindness ( when I was a young 27-year-old neighbor with the flu she came carrying two still-hot quarts of soup), joy of heart while coping with difficult physical hardship, Christian witness given with love. Of course, there is much pain in losing someone we love, but so much joy when we know that loved one has claimed God's promise of an eternal home.

The world deals us cards that sometimes we may not like but God wants us to play the hand he gives you. Jenny had always as a young man showed me the direction in life to take. I may of not taken the same road she would had recommend but I ended up at the same place with God as she did. I guess I had to learn the hard way but I learned the right direction. I loved so much just to see her when I use to shoot the fourth of July fireworks show because I got to see her and Martin and the family. It was the main reason why I pushed myself so hard to do a good job for her and her friends and family and the good people of Bryson City. She will always forever have a place in my heart till we meet again in heaven were there is no pain and no limits on the love and peace we will feel the grace of our lord.
