Obituary of Loretta Shook Cline
Loretta Shook Cline, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Loretta was born in Bushnell, NC to the late Joseph and Thelma Crisp Shook. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Gwin.
Loretta enjoyed her time traveling around the Country with her husband and family while her husband was in the U.S. Army. After her family returned home she attended Southwestern Community College where she obtained her Nursing Degree. Her passion ended up being her love for working with people that have substance abuse issues. She ended up doing this until she retired. Loretta spent many hours researching her family's ancestry.
Loretta is survived by two daughters, Marsha Cline Adams and husband Bill of Danville, VA, and Sheila Cline Sutton of Bryson City; four grandchildren, Jason Adams and wife Kelly, Jessica Hedrick and husband Calvin, and Jacob Adams and wife Jacquelyn all of Danville, VA, and Jena Sutton of Sylva; five great grandchildren, Teague, Brody, Brenden, Mallory, and Brianna; one brother, Harlan "Shorty" Shook and wife Jacque of Bryson City, and a niece, Angie Shook Neumann of Corinth, TX.
A memorial service will be held Saturday March 17, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service until 6:00 PM Saturday March 17, 2018 at the Funeral Home.
