Vernon E. Miller, 78, of Bryson City, died peacefully at his home after a long illness on Monday, August 28, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife Frances Miller.
Vernon was retired from the U.S. Navy and Florida Power and Light.
He is survived by his sisters, Mary Carroll and Reita Campbell; children, Kevin Miller, David Anderson, Mark Anderson, Conni Sawyer, Russell Anderson, Marcia Winchester, and Kurt Langseth; grandchildren, Brian Winchester, Erick Langseth, and Jodi Marr; great grandchildren, Jake Marr, Zachary Winchester, Jenna Marr, Elijah Langseth, Amanda Langseth and many others from out of town.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Crisp Funeral Home is assisting the family.
