Obituary of Angela (Angel) Marie
Angela (Angel) Marie - Bryson City Angela Marie, 60, of Bryson City, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Mission Hospital, Memorial Campus, after suffering a sudden illness.
She was the daughter of Walter C. Hill (Lakeland, FL) and Marilyn Hill (Dade City, FL). She was preceeded in death by her beloved cat, Kitty Kitty. Angela is survived by her favorite (and only) daughter, Amanda Matison Cordes, her loving grandson, Brayden Michael Cordes, her brother and sister in law, Danny and Jackie McLeod of Whittier, a sister, Sally Morrissey (Dade City, FL), and nephews Danny Mcleod, Jr. (Bryson City), and Brian Morrissey (Dade City, FL).
Angela spent her adult life working harder than anyone could imagine, raising her daughter, adoring her grandson, and helping anyone she could through kindness. She gave of herself more than most, judging no one while loving all. She was honest, real, and accepted others exactly how they were, blind to labels and mediocrity. She was loved and will be missed by so many, but she will rest well in knowing her babies are cared for, safe, and happy.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, June 28th at 6pm at the Morgan Pavilion at Swain County Recreation Center. There will be time for telling stories that uplift the soul and to share in friendship. Anyone who knew and loved her is welcome and may bring food or drink if they like.
Her ashes will reside with her daughter, Amanda and family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to P.A.W.S., Bryson City.
