Obituary of Mathew Douglas Nations

Mathew D. Nations, 29, of Sylva, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 15, 2017. A native of Swain County he was born on June 15, 1988 to his parents Roy Joe Nations, and Judy Ball Mullen both of Bryson City.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph Joe Nations, Mary Willis Greene, and Samuel Lee Metcalf.

In addition to his parents he is also survived by his fiancée, Julia Calangan of the home; three children, Aryanna, and Lakota Nations, and Lakai Martinez; siblings, Daisy Etris, Brian Nations, Sarah Nations, Gelisa Nations, and Renegade Nations; his grandmother, Bonnie Metcalf; grandparents, Max and Wanda Ball; four nieces and six nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home.
