Memorial services for Irene Faye (Perry) Ferrell, 74, of Leesville, SC will be held Thursday, June 1st at 9:00 am at Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City, NC. Graveside services will be held on Monday, June 5th at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be donated to the family at 1346 Gateway Road, Whittier, NC 28789 in care of her daughter, Phyllis Dinkins.
Irene Faye Ferrell passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017. Born in Elizabeth City, NC December 7, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Earl Lee Perry, Sr. and Helen Roxanne (Peffer) Perry.
She was a member of the Church of Nazarene in Batesburg, SC, a devoted housewife, mother and grandmother. She loved doing crafts and visiting her Walmart friends.
Survivors include her children, Patty (Doug) Mcmaus of South Carolina, Earl Leroy (Michelle) Ferrell of Indiana, Ellen Darlene Ferrell of Indiana, Janet Leigh (Billy) Morefield, Jr. of South Carolina, Rebecca Lee (Greg) Paulak of Indiana; sister, Lucy Ann Russell of North Carolina, 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Virgil E. Ferrell; sister, Ellen Denhart; brothers, Earl Lee Perry, Jr., Phillip R. Perry; step children, Sue Runyon and Warren Lee Ferrell.
