Obituary of Dwight Charles Armstrong

Dwight C. Armstrong, Jr. 69, of Whittier joined his late wife, Judy on May 17, 2017. A native of Miami, FL, he was the son of the late Dwight and Mary Armstrong. He was a US Army Veteran having served in the Vietnam War. Dwight was a registered nurse at Swain County Hospital for over 15 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary and his sister, Marsha. He is survived by his children, Steve, Josh, Ryan, Jesse and Ashely; grandchildren, Zachery, Alexis, Cameron and Caden; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Monday at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm Sunday at Crisp Funeral Home in Bryson City.
