Obituary of Kermit Dewitt Allen

Kermit D. Allen
Kermit D. Allen, age 74, of Bryson City went home to be with his Heavenly Father, May 13, 2017, at his home after a battle with cancer.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Guy and Olive Allen, sister Elizabeth Allen, and brother Gwin Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pearlene Lakey Allen, two daughters, Cheryl (R.L.) Taylor of Bryson City, Connie (Gary) Allen of Waynesville, and son, Ronald (Colleen) Allen, of Bryson City. Four grandchildren: Lyndsay Taylor, Trent (Haley) Taylor, Dawson Allen, Wyatt Allen, a great-grandson, Michael Taylor, a brother, Edwin (Dorothy) Allen of Marysville, MI and sister-in-law, Martha Allen and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Maple Springs Baptist Church, where he was a long-time member, on Saturday, May 20th at 3:00 pm. Visitation will be at 2:00 pm prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Maple Springs Cemetery Fund, 50 Wagon Wheel Dr. Bryson City, NC 28713.
