Obituary of Eliza Barker

Eliza Woodard Barker, 91, of Bryson City went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. A native of Swain County, she was the daughter of the late Cal and Flora Woodard.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Barker; brothers, George Woodard, Bill Woodard, Burrell Woodard, Craig Woodard; and her sisters, Nancy Brooks, Lela Woods, Lottie Green, and Dollie Saunders. She was also survived by one sister, Dorothy Dyer.
She is survived by her three children, Willard Barker (June), Barbara Styles, Juanita Douthit (Jim); six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
She was a lifetime member of East Alarka Church of God.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday in the chapel of Crisp Funeral Home. Revs. Eugene Moore and Jim Frady will officiate with burial in Swain Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2 until 3 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
