Obituary of Billy Shannon Pyles

Billy Shannon Pyles, 42, of Bryson City, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 30 2017. A native of Swain County, he was the son of Jan Fortner Pyles of Bryson City, and the late Billy Jean Pyles. In addition to his father he is also preceded in death by a sister Jeannie Sue Pyles; grandparents, Johnnie H. Fortner Sr. and Nell Fortner, and several aunts and uncles. He belonged to Victory Baptist Church, and was a Fire Fighter for many years. He is survived by two sons, Billy Austin Pyles and Hunter Camron Eugene Pyles both of Bryson City; one aunt, Sue Ball and husband Uncle Robert Ball of Bryson City; two uncles, John Fortner Jr. and wife Julla of Bryson City, and Earl Fortner and wife Pat of Bryson City; a very special cousin, Jody Ball of Bryson City, and many other cousins. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Crisp Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Danny Sweet will officiate with burial in East Alarka Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
